Bill O’Brien becomes part of Ryan Day’s coaching staff as the offensive coordinator.

Ahead of the 2024 season, the Ohio State Buckeyes have appointed Bill O’Brien, a former NFL head coach, as their new offensive coordinator.

O’Brien previously held the position of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, he served as the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.

Notably, O’Brien held the head coaching position for the Houston Texans from 2014 to 2020, amassing a record of 52-48 and guiding the team to the playoffs on four occasions. His sole stint as a head coach in college was at Penn State in 2012 and 2013.
