Ohio State’s top priority for their next Athletic Director is Ross Bjork, the former Athletic Director at Ole Miss according to CFB Tracker.

On January 15, reports indicate that Ross Bjork, the former Athletic Director at Ole Miss and Texas A&M, is the primary target in Ohio State’s search for a new athletic director. This information comes from Pete Thamel, as shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Bjork served as the Director of Athletics and Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics at Ole Miss from 2012 to 2019 before moving to Texas A&M for the same role ahead of the 2019 season. During his tenure at Texas A&M, Bjork notably secured a 10-year contract extension worth $95 million for football coach Jimbo Fisher. Notably, he was also part of Ole Miss during the Hugh Freeze controversy and played a key role in hiring Matt Luke as Freeze’s replacement in 2017.
