Maliq Brown is officially set to return for his senior season after the NCAA approved a new eligibility structure granting athletes five years to compete, with the timeline beginning at age 19 or upon high school graduation.
The ruling delivers an immediate impact for Duke, bringing back a player whose contributions extend far beyond the stat sheet. Brown averaged 4.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals last season, serving as a cornerstone of the team’s defensive identity.
