Jerry Mack, a native of the Volunteer State, a former head coach with a conference championship under his belt, and widely recognized as an emerging assistant coach in college football, is set to depart from Rocky Top.

Insiders report that Mack, who was among Josh Heupel’s original hires three years ago at Rocky Top, is anticipated to exit the college football program for a position in the NFL.

According to sources, Mack is in the process of finalizing an agreement to join the coaching staff of the Jacksonville Jaguars under head coach Doug Pederson and offensive coordinator Press Taylor.
