There’s a possibility that former Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer might make a return to the NFL soon. According to information from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Zimmer is in talks with the Dallas Cowboys regarding their defensive coordinator position. Notably, Zimmer had previously served with the Cowboys from 1994 to 2006, and later, he was the Bengals’ defensive coordinator from 2008 to 2013. His successful stint in Cincinnati eventually led to him becoming the head coach for the Minnesota Vikings in 2014, where he remained for eight seasons before leaving the NFL in 2021. With the departure of former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to Washington, the Cowboys are actively seeking his replacement, and it appears that Zimmer could be making a return to the NFL in the near future.
