Jahkeem Stewart, the top-ranked defensive lineman for the class of 2026, continues to express strong interest in Alabama following his interaction with the new coaching staff.

Responses and reflections from Alabama recruits are continuing to flow into Bama247 after the initial junior day under Kalen DeBoer and the recently assembled coaching staff on Saturday. Over 40 prospects from the 2025, ’26, and even ’27 classes visited, many of whom were engaging with the new coaches for the first time.

Among these recruits was five-star talent Jahkeem Stewart from New Orleans, LA, holding the position of the No. 1 defensive lineman and the third-ranked player in the 2026 class. While he was actively pursued by the previous coaching staff, it’s evident that he remains a top priority for the new team, with the retention of defensive line coach Freddie Roach playing a significant role.

In an interview with Bama247, the 6-foot-6, 270-pound prospect shared his thoughts on the brief visit to Tuscaloosa, a location he has frequented several times during his recruitment.
