Several recruits who were initially committed to the Crimson Tide have opted to reconsider their choices, and one such recruit is offensive lineman Mason Short. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches and weighing 315 pounds, Short is regarded as the eighth-best player in his position and holds the 160th national ranking according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
In a notable development, Short officially decommitted from Alabama on Tuesday morning, prompting Ohio State to swiftly respond. Justin Frye, the offensive line coach, made a visit to meet with the talented prospect, along with his high school coaching staff. It’s worth mentioning that during this meeting, Short was still officially committed to the Tide.
