Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson is putting his challenging 2024-25 season behind him, a year marked by drama, inconsistency, and an injury that cut his campaign short. This summer, he’s focused on preparing for the new season, declaring that he’s “out for revenge” in response to his frustrations with last year. Speaking at Sweden’s Olympic Orientation camp, Pettersson shared his determination, saying, “I haven’t focused on it much, but for me, it’s about revenge. I’m not happy with how last season went. I want to lead by example, but I know I can improve as a leader. I’m doing my best, and I’m working to get better.”

Off the ice, it’s been an exciting summer for Elias and his partner, Katelyn Byrd. Recent reports from Swedish media revealed some life-changing news: the couple recently tied the knot. In July, the Swedish Tax Agency officially registered their marriage, confirming that they had wed during Sweden’s Midsummer holiday. Expressen’s Svante Störlinge reported that the couple’s ceremony took place over the Midsummer weekend.

Pettersson isn’t the only Canuck to celebrate a summer wedding. Filip Chytil married in Czechia in mid-June, and Kiefer Sherwood wed Ariel in a ceremony in California later in July.

All of us at Canucks Daily extend our heartfelt congratulations to Elias and Katelyn on their marriage and wish them a lifetime of happiness.
