Raven Johnson continues to cement her legacy at South Carolina, earning Most Outstanding Player honors for the Sacramento Regional after leading the Gamecocks to another Final Four appearance.
A consistent presence throughout her five-year career, Johnson has experienced nearly every high and low imaginable during her time with the South Carolina Gamecocks. She has been part of two national championship teams under Dawn Staley, capturing titles in 2022 and 2024.
Her journey hasn’t been without adversity. Johnson suffered a torn ACL just two games into the 2022 season, forcing her to miss most of that championship run. Despite the setback, she returned stronger and has since played a key leadership role in the program’s continued dominance.
In the Elite Eight matchup against TCU, Johnson delivered a standout performance, including a key three-pointer that helped seal South Carolina’s victory and secure their spot in the Final Four once again.
Now a veteran leader, Johnson’s experience and resilience have become invaluable assets as the Gamecocks pursue yet another national title.
